Principle is one of the first companies in the UK to have both the i8 and a number of i3s as fleet cars, reflecting the brand implementation specialist’s global relationship with the prestigious car brand. In fact it is intended that the new i8 will become a pool car, ensuring that more members of the Principle team get to experience this revolutionary car.
In 2012 BMW appointed Principle to manage the global rollout of their Future Retail dealer showroom concept, which was then followed in 2013 by the installation of display platforms for the new BMW i range in retailers around the world.
In addition to the implementation of the branded platforms, Principle co-ordinated all the IT elements of the project, and all the related furniture, graphics, lighting and electronic equipment.
BMW Soper of Lincoln was one of the first BMW Centres in the UK to receive the BMW i showroom infrastructure, and it has proved to be a huge success for the Lincoln-based retailer with sales currently standing at 21 i3s and 12 i8s. Head of Business Andrew Tullie believes the introduction of the BMW i range is hugely important and “is a clear demonstration of how BMW excel at pushing boundaries and are at the forefront of the latest developments in the auto industry”.
Andrew was equally impressed with Principle and the service they continually receive from the brand management and implementation company. “It is a great experience to work with the Principle team and take advantage of their knowledge of both the automotive industry and other retail environments, especially when planning and implementing our customer contact centre and the BMW i showroom infrastructure. From the moment we ordered to installation, the process was seamless.”
To date Principle has implemented the Future Retail showroom concept and BMW i display platforms in BMW Centres across 30 countries, and will continue the rollout to new territories, as the premium carmaker launches the electric car range around the world.
In order to ensure the highest level of service to BMW, Principle has invested heavily with a new office in Munich, close to BMW headquarters, and have employed new members of staff to service the account.
